Everything you need to know about shopping for your dream wedding dress at The Dressing Room.
How does the VIP appointment work?
When you book a VIP appointment, the entire boutique is reserved exclusively for you and your guests — no other brides, no distractions. Just you, your loved ones, and your personal bridal stylist, who will work with you to understand your vision and handpick gowns for you to try on.
How far in advance should I shop for my wedding dress?
We recommend starting your dress shopping 9–12 months before your wedding date. Most gowns take 4–6 months to produce, and you'll need additional time for alterations. That said, we can often accommodate shorter timelines — give us a call to discuss your situation.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Wear seamless, nude underwear and a strapless bra if possible. Bring any accessories you're considering — earrings, belts, shoes — and photos of styles you love. Most importantly, bring an open mind! Your stylist may suggest silhouettes you haven't considered that look incredible on you.
Do you offer plus-size wedding gowns?
Absolutely! We carry plus-size wedding gowns in sizes up to 28. Our commitment to body positivity and inclusivity means every bride who visits us feels celebrated and beautiful. Our stylists are experienced in dressing every body type with confidence and grace.
What are your price ranges?
Our wedding gowns range from approximately $800 to $3,000 depending on the designer and style. During your appointment, your stylist will work within your stated budget to find the most beautiful options for you.
Do I need to pay in full when I order?
Yes, payment in full is required when placing your order. We accept all major credit cards. For off-the-rack dresses or situations with extended timelines, very limited payment plan options may be available — please ask your stylist for details.
Do the gowns have built-in support?
Yes! Most of our gowns feature built-in boning and structure, so most brides try on without a bra. Your stylist will guide you on exactly what works best for each style. Some brides choose to add shapewear, but it's entirely up to you and your comfort.
How many guests can I bring?
We recommend bringing 2–3 of your closest, most supportive people. Too many opinions can sometimes make the decision harder. Bring the people who truly know your style and will champion your vision — your appointment is all about you!
What locations do you have?
We have three beautiful boutique locations: St. Petersburg, FL (2425 Central Ave), Celebration, FL (613 Celebration Ave), and Pawleys Island, SC (11405 Ocean Hwy Unit 7). Each location offers the same exclusive private appointment experience.
Can I bring children to my appointment?
While we adore little ones, we recommend leaving children at home if possible. Your appointment is your special moment, and small children can sometimes make it difficult to focus. We want you to be fully present and enjoy every second of this experience!
